Hindi exam typing is not one universal skill. The same Mangal font can be paired with different key arrangements, and different exams can use different durations or scoring rules. Mangal typing test for CPCT

Which exams use Mangal for the Hindi typing test?
- SSC CHSL: Mangal only. The 2026 notice says Hindi typing in any other font means you don't qualify. The target is 30 WPM in 10 minutes.
- CRPF HC (Ministerial): Remington GAIL with the Mangal font only, at 30 WPM, according to the 2022 CRPF advertisement.
- MP CPCT: Mangal InScript or Mangal Remington GAIL, chosen when you apply, at 20 net WPM over 15 minutes.
- RRB NTPC: both Mangal and Kruti Dev are provided, at 25 WPM. If you already type Kruti Dev, the Kruti Dev typing test is closer to your habits.
Remember: Mobile Hindi typing or phonetic transliteration is useful for general writing, but it does not replace practice on the keyboard layout named in a government typing notice.
