Frequently asked questions
How is net WPM calculated?
This calculator uses (words typed − counted errors) ÷ minutes as a general practice estimate. Specific exams may count full and half mistakes, ignore some errors or use a different penalty.
Does 30 WPM always equal 9,000 KDPH?
Only as a five-key-per-word approximation: 30 × 5 × 60 = 9,000. A real test may count actual key depressions, so use the KDPH field when you know the keystroke total.
Is this calculator an official result?
No. It is an independent preparation tool and cannot determine qualification. Use the latest notice and test instructions from the relevant authority.
