Confirm the arrangement first
Mangal is a font, not one keyboard layout. InScript and Remington GAIL have different key positions and input sequences. Kruti Dev 010 uses legacy character encoding. Choose the arrangement in your exam instructions; the layout guide explains these differences.
Look closely at the character
If the result marks a Hindi word wrong, compare the matra, half-letter, conjunct and punctuation with the original. Two sequences may look similar while producing different text. Use the key chart for the layout you selected.
Enter the word slowly. Then copy a sentence containing it. In your next timed attempt, see whether the same sequence still causes trouble.
Keep the settings consistent
Use the same layout when comparing your scores. If you switch layouts, record the switch rather than treating the new result as a direct measure of progress.

The three Hindi layouts, and how they differ
Mangal is a font, not a layout. Two very different key arrangements both produce Mangal text, which is the single most common source of wasted Hindi practice.

InScript and Remington GAIL both render in Mangal and look identical on screen, but the same character sits under different keys. Learning one does not prepare you for the other. Your notice names which one applies.
