How the score works
Speed here is counted on everything you type, so mistakes do not slow the number down. Accuracy is checked on its own. If you miss the accuracy limit, a good speed will not save the attempt. The result screen shows you the counted mistakes and the deductions behind your score. The score cannot fall below zero.
Typing tips
A wrong word is not worth going back for. Correction keys behave the way the table above describes, so stopping to fight one word costs you more than the word is worth. Check the result screen afterwards to see what actually went wrong.
- Full and half mistakes both affect the configured error percentage. Check the denominator before turning a percentage into a word count.
- This page limits correction to the current word. Confirm the official editing instructions for your cycle.
How to practise for the Delhi High Court typing test
The app checks two conditions separately: 35 WPM speed, and mistakes of no more than 3% over ten minutes. A fast result can still miss the error condition, and a clean one can still miss the speed condition, so read both figures after every attempt.
What you do next depends on which condition failed. Speed met but errors over: inspect the marked words and copy sentences containing the repeated error before another full run. Errors fine but speed short: find the pauses at unfamiliar keys or long words, drill those transitions, then take a fresh passage. Both met: repeat on unfamiliar text with the same settings, and keep the ordinary result as well as the good one.
On a 500-word reference passage, 3% works out to 15 error units. On 400 words it is 12. Those are worked examples of the denominator, not a fixed mistake count for every passage, and full and half mistakes carry different weights here, so read the explanation attached to your own result.
Backspace is limited to the current word. A result just inside a threshold is worth keeping but does not prove consistency, and a high score on a passage you nearly know by heart should be labelled as a repeat. Check the active court instructions before treating the current-word restriction as an official rule.

What typing speed is required for Delhi High Court JJA?

How do correction keys work here?
You can only correct the word you are typing. Once you move past it, that word is locked. This restriction comes from the simulator's settings. It is not a verified Delhi HC rulebook requirement.
Does this result establish official qualification?
No. The typing test is one qualifying stage of the Delhi High Court JJA / Restorer exam, and the court decides who passes. This practice run only shows how close you are to 35 WPM with mistakes under 3%.
