Using typing practice in a class
Give students a specific layout and passage to practise. When reviewing the results, keep the duration and scoring settings the same.
Before the session
Open the chosen test on the classroom computers and check that the keys work as expected. For Hindi, try a few matras and conjuncts using the layout's key chart. Students need the intended arrangement even if Hindi letters are not printed on the keyboard.
For a recruitment class, share the exact profile and official instructions. Some profiles contain assumptions; do not present a practice target as the authority's verified rule.
Review one problem at a time
Ask each student to identify a repeated mistake from the marked passage. Give them a short exercise using that combination, then try another passage. Comparing the same student's attempts is more informative when the text difficulty and settings are similar.

Setting up comparable practice for a class
Results are only comparable when the settings are. Fix these before the first session, not after.
