About this practice test
This page gives you a 10-minute CBSE (Junior Assistant / Superintendent) typing practice test. You can practise in English at 35 WPM or Hindi at 30 WPM.

How the score works
A full mistake counts as one and a half mistake counts as half. Those are taken off before your speed is worked out. Missed and repeated words are counted in groups. The result screen shows you the counted mistakes and the deductions behind your score. The score cannot fall below zero.
Typing tips
A wrong word is not worth going back for. Correction keys behave the way the table above describes, so stopping to fight one word costs you more than the word is worth. Check the result screen afterwards to see what actually went wrong.

- The Mangal InScript option is available for practice. It has not been confirmed as the official CBSE arrangement.
How to practise for the CBSE typing test
Read the skill-test instructions for the particular CBSE recruitment. A typing requirement from NCERT or another organisation does not establish the CBSE format.
Make one practice card. Put the post and advertisement number on it, then the language you picked, the keyboard arrangement, and a link to the skill-test instructions. Leave a field blank where the document does not settle it, because a blank is worth more than an answer borrowed from an unrelated recruitment.
While those details are unresolved, copy ordinary office text. A line like "Send the revised list to Mr Sen by 4 p.m." checks whether you typed both full stops in "p.m." and kept the small word "to". Watch that you preserved the punctuation and spacing instead of quietly editing the wording into something more familiar.
The duration, Hindi arrangement and error rule in our preset were not established by its sources, so the ten-minute timer and layout are practice assumptions. When the real instructions arrive, run the card again and pick a matching tool. If a tool cannot reproduce the required controls it can still help with keyboard work, but record the mismatch next to the result.
