About this practice test
This page gives you a 10-minute EPFO (Social Security Assistant) typing practice test. You can practise in English at 35 WPM or Hindi at 30 WPM.

How the score works
Only words you type exactly right are counted. A wrong word earns nothing, and nothing extra is taken off for it. Your speed is the correct words divided by the minutes you typed. After the test you can see which mistakes counted and what each one took off. The score cannot fall below zero.
Typing tips
Keep typing when you slip. Correction keys behave the way the table above describes, so stopping to fight one word costs you more than the word is worth. Check the result screen afterwards to see what actually went wrong.
- Only correct words count here. Compare attempts of the same length and keep an eye on that total.
- Fixing a word uses time, but there is no extra deduction for the correction itself. Check the result afterwards to see whether the fix was worth the time.
How to practise for the EPFO SSA typing test
Check whether your EPFO SSA notice requires one language, offers a choice, or sets separate sections. The language buttons in a practice tool do not settle that.
After an attempt, take one sentence from the result and compare it against the source, marking the words that match exactly. If a whole stretch looks wrong, check for a missing word or a joined pair before treating every highlight as its own key error.
For a smaller exercise, compare "Keep a copy of the form." with "Keep a copy the form." The dropped "of" is easy to miss when the surrounding words are familiar. Copy the full sentence slowly, keeping the spaces and punctuation as supplied, then follow it with a different sentence containing the same difficult word. That second sentence tells you whether you learnt the sequence or just remembered the previous line.
Use the same duration and language for your next full attempt, and record the count of correct words as well as the displayed speed. Under a correct-word model, typing more text only helps when enough of it is correct. The Hindi layout and some error details in this preset rest on limited secondary material, so confirm the active instructions before reading a practice target as an official rule.
