About this practice test
This page gives you a Beltron (Bihar Data Entry Operator) typing practice test in English or Hindi. The official standard is 30 correct English words or 25 correct Hindi words; the 10-minute timer and editing behavior are simulator settings.

How the score works
BELTRON's notice measures the typing standard in Correct Words. It does not publish a percentage cap or per-error deduction, so this simulator's timer, correction and Correct Words calculation are practice settings rather than a full official scoring reproduction.
Typing tips
Do not stop to fix a word you have already passed. Correction keys behave the way the table above describes, so stopping to fight one word costs you more than the word is worth. Check the result screen afterwards to see what actually went wrong.
- The English practice target is 30 WPM. A slower result does not pass that target just because it has few mistakes.
- Confirm the Hindi keyboard in the BELTRON instructions before using Remington GAIL lessons.
How to practise for the BELTRON DEO typing test
Read the typing instructions apart from the written-test schedule. A duration stated for a written CBT tells you nothing about the typing time.
Keep a small Hindi error sheet with two columns: the word in the passage, and what you typed. Write the layout you used above them, so a later change of keyboard does not leave you drilling an old sequence on a new map. Copy the whole word including every matra and half-letter. A note that says "Hindi weak" gives you nothing to work on tomorrow.
Take one pair off the sheet, work out its input sequence on your layout, type it untimed, then put it inside a sentence. If it keeps coming out wrong, check the layout selection before repeating it another ten times. Repetition on the wrong map will not fix a mismatch.
Our preset runs a ten-minute timer because its sources did not establish a duration for the typing stage. When BELTRON publishes the instructions for your recruitment, add the confirmed duration and arrangement to the sheet, then judge whether your earlier results were taken under comparable conditions.

English practice uses QWERTY. For Hindi you can pick Mangal Remington GAIL. Check the layout named in your own exam notice before learning the keys.

The official notice sets 30 correct English words or 25 correct Hindi words. Hindi uses Mangal font with the Remington-Gail keyboard. Choose the language required by your recruitment; the notice does not make the timer or editing keys clear.
How do correction keys work here?
Correction is limited to Backspace inside the current word. Delete and navigation are off. This is the app's editing policy. BELTRON's own software may work differently.
Are these settings confirmed for my recruitment?
The official notice supports the Correct Words targets, Hindi layout, MCQ structure and Hindi-mark panel ordering. It does not state typing duration, correction behavior, a deduction or an accuracy cap; those remain simulator settings.
