How your score is calculated
Every detected word, spelling, spacing, capitalisation or punctuation mismatch counts as one whole mistake for this practice fallback — no half-mistake discount is applied. Because backspace is disabled, every mistake stays in your typed text and directly reduces net speed; there is no way to correct it mid-attempt, the same locked-editing constraint used for RRB NTPC and CRPF HC(M). Your result screen shows each detected mistake and the practice formula applied to your attempt. This result is not an official exam result.
Worked example: 8,000 KDPH is about 26.7 WPM — over a 10-minute section that's roughly 267 standard words (about 1,333 keystrokes). With backspace disabled, every slip stays in your typed text: type 280 words with 8 uncorrected mistakes and net speed drops to (280 − 8) ÷ 10 = 27.2 WPM — still comfortably over the 26.7 WPM floor, but the lack of a safety net means a bad run of mistakes near the end can't be fixed the way it could on an exam with backspace allowed.
