## How the score works

F12 gives each language 100 typing marks and thresholds of 90/100 for English and 85/100 for Hindi. It does not support the earlier 3% sentence. The preset's error-cap scoring and editing behavior are simulator settings, not a claim that the notice uses a percentage formula.

## Typing tips

Do not stop to fix a word you have already passed. Correction keys behave the way the table above describes, so stopping to fight one word costs you more than the word is worth. Check the result screen afterwards to see what actually went wrong.

- Keep English and Hindi marks separate: the official thresholds are 90/100 and 85/100.
- Check the exact post and advertisement first. Do not borrow a typing rule from another Patna High Court recruitment.

## How to practise for the Patna High Court typing test

Start with the instructions for your exact post and advertisement. Check each language section, then find out whether typing adds marks or is only a qualifying condition.

Keep the passage and the result whenever the displayed marks surprise you. Write down what you expected, then find the part of the calculation that produced something else. Check the error denominator and how omissions were treated before deciding the speed display is wrong.

A small copying exercise makes the problem easier to see. Try "Mr Ali submitted Annexure A. The copy is clear." Check the space after each full stop and that "Annexure A" came through unchanged. Compare the whole sentence afterwards, because one missing space affects how the neighbouring words get matched.

F12 settles the 40/30 WPM speeds, Remington Gail with Mangal, 100 marks per language and the 90/85 thresholds. It does not support the earlier 3% sentence or specify the simulator's error-cap formula or editing keys, so keep the practice result separate from the official marks.

For Hindi key combinations and matras, see the [Hindi typing guide](https://sarkariexamtyping.com/hindi-typing-practice-guide.html). The [scoring guide](https://sarkariexamtyping.com/typing-test-scoring.html) explains the speed and error figures shown in your practice result.

## Keyboard layouts

English practice uses QWERTY. The official notice specifies Mangal font with the Remington Gail keyboard for Hindi.

## Common questions

**What targets does this practice test use?**

The official notice specifies 40 WPM English and 30 WPM Hindi, with Mangal font on the Remington Gail keyboard. Each language carries 100 marks, with 90/100 and 85/100 thresholds.

**How do correction keys work here?**

Backspace and the other configured keys stay available throughout. That is a simulator choice. It is separate from whatever the court's own test software allows.

**Are these settings confirmed for my recruitment?**

F12 is the official source for the speed, layout and marks thresholds above. It does not specify this simulator's error-cap formula or editing keys, so do not read those settings as official mechanics.
