## How the score works

You start with a small allowance of mistakes. Once that is used up, each further mistake takes words off your total. A full mistake counts as one, and a half mistake counts as half. Your result screen lists the mistakes that were counted and what they cost you. The score cannot fall below zero.

## Typing tips

Do not stop to fix a word you have already passed. Correction keys behave the way the table above describes, so stopping to fight one word costs you more than the word is worth. Check the result screen afterwards to see what actually went wrong.

- The result shows the practice model's error allowance and any deduction beyond it. Check both separately from gross speed.
- The KVS Recruitment Rules establish the speed requirement, not this preset's duration, error or editing rules.

## How to practise for the KVS JSA typing test

Check whether your KVS notice offers a choice of language and which typing instructions apply to your post. A separate data-entry recruitment is not a substitute.

Keep two attempts on similar text with identical settings, and put gross speed beside speed after deductions. If the faster attempt lost more through mistakes, find out which words caused the loss before deciding to push harder.

Try an office line like "The list of pupils is with Ms Das." and check that "of" and "is" both survived. Copy the wording exactly, small words included. Skipping one to catch up makes the text that follows harder to line up against the source.

Finish by writing one specific instruction for the next session, something like "complete the word before pressing Space". That beats "improve accuracy" as a plan. The Recruitment Rules state the speed requirement, not this preset's duration, error allowance, deduction, Hindi layout or correction behaviour. Check the current KVS skill-test instructions rather than treating these simulator settings as exam rules.
